Acne - Prevention and Treatment

Acne can be prevented by adopting different strategies; it is either preventable through the use of one or combined methods available. Some of the means of prevention include:
1. Hygiene: Personal hygiene is one of the ways to prevent acne from breaking out on your skin from time to time. Some dead skin, bacteria and excess sebum are known to contribute to acne. It is therefore advisable to keep your skin clean all the time to get rid of the dead cells and bacteria.
By so doing you will reduce the possibility of acne breaking out on your skin. But excessive washing has to be avoided in order to prevent the skin from becoming over dry and irritated. Excessive dryness can provoke the skin to produce more oil which eventually leads to more acne.

Cellulite

Cellulite is essentially excess body fat and body fluids that gets accumulated within several layers of skin, especially among women. This commonly happens in and around the thighs, stomach and the buttocks area, and is not a pretty sight. It is therefore not a surprise that beauty-conscious women go to extreme distances to get rid of these wrinkled and lumpy layers of skin that ruin their streamlined looks.
In fact, it is women who complain more about cellulite than men. They have a reason too. Cellulite looks uglier on them than men for purely physiological reasons. This can be better understood when a cross-section of a woman's thigh is examined. It is found that the muscles are connected to the skin by fibers that trap fat. The fat bulges out in regions where the connections are absent, giving a wrinkled appearance to the skin. This does not happen in the case of men, where the fibers are connected in a criss-cross pattern that doesn't allow fat to accumulate or bulge. Cellulite can be caused by several reasons. These include genetic reasons, age, gender and hormonal imbalances.

ADHD

ADHD, which is the acronym for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is one of the most difficult diseases to diagnose. It affects children in their pre-school or early school years and has symptoms which are often mistaken to be nothing but pranks or tantrums being thrown by overactive or difficult children.
The three key symptoms associated with ADHD are:
inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Since most children are hyperactive or impulsive, the majority of parents do not pay much attention to them. They believe that these inconsistencies will blow away with age. It is only when these symptoms are spotted by teachers in school who work with large groups of children that the child is provided counseling or medical support for ADHD.

Cancer Information

Cancer is among the world's most deadly diseases. It has a
high fatality rate, and very few victims of cancer live a
normal life again. Most die within months or years of
contracting cancer; and in most cases in a most painful
manner. That is why the very word cancer strikes dread in
every human heart.
Cancer results when rogue cells produced by genetic
mutation multiply in the human body. These cells either
invade nearby tissues, or migrate to other healthy parts
of the body. In either case, the effect is catastrophic.
They destroy healthy cells and vital organs, and give birth
to tumors that can be life-threatening.
There are over a hundred different kinds of cancers that
afflict human beings. These are named after the cells that
cause cancer. The cancer that originates in epithelial
cells like the digestive tract or glands is called
carcinoma; the cancer that is caused by rogue cells in
blood or bone marrow is called leukemia or lymphoma;
and the cancer that arises in connective tissues, bone or
muscle is called sarcoma.

Stroke Information

A stroke occurs when an artery carrying blood to the brain
gets clogged or bursts disrupting blood supply. The brain,
deprived of oxygen, begins to die. The majority of strokes
result from clogging of arteries; artery bursts account
for less than 20% of strokes.
However, irrespective of the cause strokes are a serious
problem in the US. A stroke is reported every 45 seconds,
and a death by stroke every three minutes. Interestingly,
women are more susceptible to strokes than men. Statistics
show that of every five stroke victims, two are men and
three women.

Botox Information

Botox is a beauty product produced from Botulin, one of the
most poisonous substances known to mankind.  According to
scientists, 300 gm of Botulin, which is a toxin produced by
the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, is enough to wipe out
the whole human race. Fortunately, the vilest of human
minds has not been able to come up with a method of doing
this.
In contrast, medical researchers have found a way of using
Botox to enhance the beauty of human race. They inject

Diabetes Supplies

More and more Americans are waking up to the reality that
there is no cure for diabetes. The best they can do when
dealing with this sweet killer is to limit the damage by
taking their medicines regularly, and leading a more
disciplined life.
The latest figures released by the American Diabetes
Association show that 17 million Americans are suffering
from diabetes. These patients need proper advice and an
authentic medical outlet for obtaining their diabetes
supplies. Already scores of vendors have set up shops, both
offline and online, to provide diabetes supplies. The
insurance companies too have got into the act and have
drawn up a list of items for which policy holders can make
claims.

Skin Care Tips

Most of us take our skin for granted. Very few of us
realize that skin is the body's first line of defense. It
keeps viruses, bacteria, germs, dust and pollutants from
entering our body. It also keeps us looking supple, and
feeling good.
Good skin care involves protecting your skin from sun, wind
and pollutants. It also requires keeping your skin healthy
through exercise, rest, and good nutrition. The skin, like
the rest of your body, needs nutrients like vitamins and
minerals to stay healthy. This can only happen if you take
a balanced and nutritious diet.
